I'm a beginner. Is Speed Cycling for me?

Speed Cycling wants to help you be a better rider. Beginner athletes can really benefit from the quality information our coaches offer. You can learn the basics in a hands-on friendly environment. When you start doing workouts on a consistent basis you will see real improvement. We make doing cycling workouts fun, so you want to do more. On top of that, we will give you a variety of workouts that will help you get high quality exercise that will speed up how quickly you improve.

I'm an experienced athlete. Is Speed Cycling for me?

Speed Cycling is owned by experienced coaches. We have coached athletes to multiple state and national championships as well as age-group and overall wins at various local and regional events. We employ proven training techniques to give the experienced athlete the competitive edge they need to succeed. Speed Cycling can give you that edge too through our hands-on training and coaching.

How are Speed Cycling’s classes different than indoor cycling at a health club?

All of our classes are held in a training studio designed to keep the athlete cooled so that they can perform.  Air temperature and air flow in most general fitness studios do not sufficiently cool the athlete.  This means that at Speed Cycling you can perform at the level required to see maximum improvement.

In all of our cycling class you ride YOUR BIKE.  This is the most specific training.  It conditions you to perform on the equipment that you use on race day.  Most health club equipment is adjustable in 1” increments and simply cannot train you in the position you will compete in.

What is a CompuTrainer?

CompuTrainer-based training offers the standard in power-based indoor training.  You train by measuring how hard you are actually pedaling.  You can see measurable improvement throughout the season and adjust the training to continue to push yourself.
